Substitution of maggot flour and azolla flour on the physical quality of fish feed

Abstract: 
This research aimed to determine the substitution of maggot flour and azolla flour on the physical quality of fish feed. The study used a completely randomized design with the formula: Treatment A consisted of 30% maggot flour and 10% azolla flour; treatment B consisted of 26% maggot flour and 14% azolla flour; and treatment C consisted of 22% maggot flour and 18% azolla flour. The parameters tested were feed color, solubility, attractiveness, and the hardness of the fish feed. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that the color of the feed tended to be the same for all treatments, namely brown, the same as the color of feed generally sold on the market, namely brown. The solubility of fish feed in this study was highest in treatment K and lowest in treatment C. Furthermore, the highest feed attractiveness was in treatment A and the lowest in treatment C. The level of hardness of fish feed was highest in treatment C and lowest in treatment K.
