Abstract:
This study makes use of the theory of technological acceptance and strategic management theories and a quantitative research design using structured questionnaire format to obtain professional data of the industry. The analysis has shown that both PU and PEU present a strong positive influence in the context of Perceived General Impact (PGI) which means that when organizations consider new systems or technologies to hold real potential and to be easy to use, they tend to adopt them properly to enhance their working process.  Not to mention that SOR is a significant complementary to PGI, which means that the companies intending to succeed will be motivated to follow a particular strategic vision and focus on innovation, client orientation, and active market business attitude.  The impact exerted by MDY on PGI is a positive one, which means that adequately controlled dynamic market conditions may enhance innovation and agility in the industry. The study superior to the existing body of literature because it combines technology perception variables alongside strategic and market-related constructs and gives a holistic view of performance antecedents in the garment business.  It provides practical ideas to executives of the industry, legislators, and developers of technologies as it points out the difficulty of strategic planning, continuous market survey, and enabling technologies as they ensure sustainable results.  The conclusions point to the need of harmonizing the internal strategy and pursuing the trends in the market and technological enablers with a view of achieving a competitive advantage in the garment business.
